Ricoh Taranaki was formed in 2005 by Directors Mike Wildermoth and Grant Kenny. A company was acquired which included a modest base of Ricoh machines to start with. Ricoh New Zealand provided (and continues to provide) support and expertise to assist in the company’s founding.
Initially the business was situated on Molesworth Street, but soon outgrew these premises and moved to a much larger premises on Eliot Street.
After six years on Eliot Street, it was decided to purpose build a premises with double the area. Mike undertook the build and now Ricoh Taranaki is situated at 73 Hurlstone Drive.
Ricoh Taranaki is soley staffed by local people who have a combined 145 years’ experience in the industry (closer to 175 years including the Ricoh Wanganui staff). The company has a simple structure and the staff takes a very active part in the day to day running of the business. The team enjoy an environment where they are listened to and valued as integral to the success of the business. Ricoh Taranaki is totally committed to customer satisfaction.

Ricoh Taranaki proudly and exclusively sells and services the range of Ricoh multifunctional devices, printers, production printers wide format solutions, software applications and consultancy throughout the Taranaki province. In 2008 Ricoh Taranaki expanded into the Wanganui Manawatu region and opened the Ricoh Wanganui branch. The staff at Ricoh Taranaki is actively involved in the support of various community activities. We believe for the region to be successful, all in it has to be successful too, and so lend our support where we can.
Ricoh Taranaki is proud to be associated with so many worthwhile organisations, which include; Hospice Taranaki, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Red Cross Breakfast in Schools, New Plymouth Principals Association, NPPA Interschools sport , Americarna, Bishops Action Foundation, NZ Chambers of Commerce Taranaki, TCA Junior Cricket. We also sponsor school newsletters, sports events, support various fundraisers and charity events.
